Movie

My luck with the movies changed when I moved to California and finally I saw two good movies
  1. Sideways
  2. Hitch

Both were really nice movies to watch. They are not artistic but they are fun to watch and funny in their own way.

Sideways is original and starts like one of the Art movies but is refreshingly funny and nice if possible I would like to make a trip to the wineries

Hitch is like an funny Indian movie with not much of logic and Nice Dialogue.

Both are what you call Popcorn Movies. You sit with a bag of popcorn and enjoy.

Came back from Hitch Yesterday night only to find both me and my apartment mate has forgotten our keys and it took us over an hour of calling him on the mobile, home telephone and banging the door to wake up the third guy sleeping inside(Or at least what little noise we could make without waking the neighbor's or them calling 911)

Finally we gave up was on the way to another friends house and try our luck waking him when luckily he woke up and attended the call.

Gandhi in Media

Last week I saw two mention of Gandhi one really nice and another not so nice

first the not so nice piece - there was a rerun of Sienfield and in one of the episodes The Old Man
in which Jerry, George and Elaine go out and volunteer with old people and Elaine meets Mrs.Oliver this old lady with Goiter and she talks about her affair with Gandhi

The Old Man - Script

Mrs. O: That's when I began my affair with Mohandas.
Elaine: What?
Mrs. O: Mohandas.
Elaine: Ghandhi?
Mrs. O: Oh, the *passion*. The *forbidden pleasure*--
Elaine: You had an affair with Ghandhi?
Mrs. O: He used to dip his bald head in oil and rub it all over my body.
Here, look... [shows Elaine a picture of the two together]
Elaine: Oh, my God... The Mohatma?

Somehow I found it was not funny at all

The better part
Italian telecom ad - amazing portrayal of Gandhi and an excellent usage of clips and nice message in a commercial. I actually feel happy though he has been used in a commercial for business reasons.
You can view the clip in the link below

While we are in the topic an authentic recording of a speech from Gandhi in BBC archives
